Dr. Summers McMurray is a licensed clinical
psychologist who joined the staff of Ebenezer
Counseling in 2007. Her clinical work focuses on
couples, families, and individual therapy with
children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical
interest areas include grief and loss, relationship
and family issues, addictions, depression,
anxiety, spiritual issues, parenting concerns, and
women’s issues. She also enjoys working with
couples in premarital and marriage counseling.
Summers is also experienced in psychological
testing for both children and adults.

Summers received her Bachelor’s in Psychology
from the University of Tennessee and her Master’s
and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Fuller
Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.
She completed her doctoral internship at the
University of Tennessee Counseling Center, where
she also received specialty training in the treatment
of substance abuse and addiction at Cornerstone of
Recovery, a residential treatment center in
Louisville, Tennessee. Summers approaches
therapy in anintegrative way -- fully taking into
account a client's emotional, physical, relational, and
spiritual realms.

Summers and her husband, Torrey, have been
married for nine years and have three young
