Erin Accardi is a counselor in supervision working toward licensure. Erin graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC with a B.A. in Sociology. After moving to Tennessee and meeting her husband, she spent the first 17 years of her professional life in vocational ministry. Sensing a growing calling towards counseling, Erin went back to school and completed her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health at Carson Newman University.
Erin’s approach to counseling is relational, and her desire is to create a safe space where an individual can feel seen, heard, and known. She fully respects the differences in culture, values, backgrounds, and beliefs of her clients, and she believes that a collaborative and respectful therapeutic relationship can foster holistic growth and healing. Her training is integrative, taking into account the emotional, physical, spiritual, and social aspects of a person’s life.
She enjoys working with individuals (adolescents and adults), couples and families. Her clinical interests include helping clients through grief and loss, anxiety and depression, parenting, premarital and marital counseling, women’s issues, life transitions, spiritual concerns, substance use, trauma recovery, and self-harm.
Erin and her husband have been married for 18 years and have 5 children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being in the mountains, reading, exploring new places, exercising, writing, and working on projects at home.
