We all want to be seen and heard— to be fully known and deeply loved. No matter where you have been or what you’ve experienced along the way, you are welcome here.
Everyone has a story. I have my own story, my own brokenness, and my own strength and beauty. I consider it an honor to be a kind witness to yours. I am a fellow work-in-progress. I believe that healing happens in the safety of relationship. It is always a deep privilege to get to know my clients, and this relationship will play a central role in the healing process. It offers an invitation to name both the beautiful and shattered places of your story. Together we will create a safe environment to explore how your story has impacted and shaped your life, relationships, and faith.
I am a licensed professional counselor and mental health service provider, as well as a women’s ministry leader, speaker, and teacher. As a trauma-informed and trained practitioner, my theoretical orientation is rooted in story work with the understanding that our protector parts and styles of relating with others, ourselves, and God have been informed by and during our developmental years and are worth exploring with a lot of curiosity and compassion. I believe that a relationship with God is the essential piece to healing and flourishing, and it is my heart to connect you with the One who is incredibly passionate about you and your story. However, I deeply respect you and invite you to decide whether you want counseling to be faith-based.
My academic background includes a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. As a lifelong student, I love learning! I am trained in Narrative-Focused Trauma Care (NFTC) therapy (in consultation with Vanessa Sadler) through The Allender Center, located within The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. I am also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy (in consultation with Sue Richmond) through the IFS Institute, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through the Beck Institute in Philadelphia, PA, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) through the EMDR Institute, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) through an externship in Knoxville, TN, and Experiential therapy through the Experiential Training Institute at Onsite in Cumberland Furnace, TN.
I specialize in working with women 18 years old and up who are looking to process through trauma, depression, and anxiety. I also work with women who struggle with life transitions, boundaries, relationship challenges, grief and loss, and faith and spiritual matters.
I am immensely grateful for the teachers, healers, therapists, and friends (and of course my husband and family!) for the healing I have received. My life calling is to pay it forward. Few things make me happier than seeing women live freely and flourish from the inside out! If you are ready to pursue a deeper level of healing and freedom, I would be honored to take the journey with you.
I hope you feel right at home here.
