Raquel Harvey is a counselor in supervision working toward licensure. She holds a Masters in Counseling degree from Monash University, along with a Biblical Counseling Certificate from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
It is important to Raquel to create an atmosphere of safety and understanding. She uses aa person-centered approach, recognizes we come with unique identities, values and experiences. She is compassionate, caring and collaborative, working with you to discover strategies that assist. She uses an integrative therapeutic approach to tailor sessions to meet your goals. Using evidence-based research, Raquel draws principles from CBT, DBT, EFT, IFS along with narrative therapy.
Raquel counts it a privilege to hear your story and walk alongside you. Raquel believes God is the unlimited restorer. She has a witnessed how restoration and fruitfulness blossoms as we depend on God to guide us. Raquel respects that we all have different beliefs. She welcomes you wherever you find yourself in your life journey.
Living and counseling overseas has allowed her to grow in sensitivity to benefits and challenges that come in different family and culture systems. Prior to counseling, Raquel was an educator, graduating from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. She and her husband have three children. Hiking, baking, and traveling with her family and friends are some of her favorite relaxation activities.
